We started the VEX robotics club in the year 2008 with only 8 secondary 1 students (now sec 3s).
We have participated in several VEX competitions, namely the Singapore VEX Robotics Championships (2008 & 2009), Asia Pacific VEX Robotics Championships (2008 & 2009) and East Zone DSTA-DSO Robotics Challenges (2008). Aside from VEX, we have ventured into other competitions such as the Clean Water Challenge (2009 & 2010).
Our Goal for the years to come is to get Champion (1st) for every or at least almost all of the competitions we will be participating in. The upcoming Asia Pacific VEX Robotics Championship 2010 in Japan. If we participate, it will serve as a challenge for our skills and to test if we have improved.

OUR MOTTOS
Design to Win, Play to Win
Why VEX?
VEX is designed to nurture creative advancement in robotics and knowledge of STEM (Science, technology, engineering and maths) .VEX offers powerful and user-programmable microprocessor for control.
Teams will develop many new skills in response to the challenges and obstacles that stand before them. Team work is developed through interacting with teammates and teachers to solve a problem or build a robot together. The students will appreciate science and technology and apply their skills to the world around them. VEX also cultivates life skills such as planning, brainstorming, collabration, teamwork, leadership and research and technical skills.
About VEX
The VEX Robotics Design System offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). These are just a few of the many fields students can explore by creating with VEX Robotics technology. Beyond science and engineering principles, a VEX Robotics project encourages teamwork, leadership and problem solving among groups. It also allows educators to easily customize projects to meet the level of students’ abilities. The affordable VEX platform is expanding rapidly and is now found in middle schools, high schools and university labs around the globe. Robotics hobbyists also appreciate the advanced capabilities of the VEX System. – www.vexrobotics.com
